"I thought I was going to see a car..."

Beschreibung

When hearing the name Peugeot, most people likely think of French cars and bicycles. However, Peugeot also manufactured motorcycles until the outbreak of World War II. This makes this particular piece both exciting and rare to come across. It is possibly the only remaining example in Sweden.

This Peugeot 108T was restored in the 1980s by Tage Berglund in Valbo, outside Gävle. A true motorcycle guru, he had a private motorcycle museum. He discovered the Peugeot at a market in Falun and bought it. Afterward, it was placed among all his other motorcycles. When he passed away, almost all the bikes were sold, but the family kept three, including this Peugeot.

In 2014, the current owner met Tage’s son on an unrelated matter and, upon showing interest in the Peugeot, was given the opportunity to purchase it. The motorcycle is not registered, but the owner has previously completed an origin verification. An old registration certificate is included for anyone wishing to apply for an origin verification in their own name. According to the old registration document, the motorcycle was previously registered in Stockholm, as indicated by the former county letter "A" in the registration number.

During the current owner’s time, the Peugeot was test-started a few years ago, and he has acquired a few small parts for it. However, since then, it has remained untouched in his garage.
