The car then became a graduation gift for her daughter, although the mother remained the registered owner — as she still is today. The daughter greatly appreciated the gift, obtained her driver’s license shortly thereafter, and enjoyed the car until 2013, when it was taken off the road and stored in a garage. The car was registered for use again in 2020, although its most recent approved inspection dates back to December 31, 2013.
The latest entry in the service book is from 2008 at 84,750 kilometers. Today, the odometer reads 92,690 kilometers.

The car starts easily and runs willingly, while the clutch and gearbox feel normal and operate without any unusual behavior. The most recent documented service was carried out in 2008 according to the service book. A thorough service and general mechanical inspection should therefore be considered necessary.

Zustand Interieur
White Edition truly means White Edition — there are no compromises here. Parts of the dashboard are therefore finished in white, together with all the other unmistakably white design elements. The attractive light-colored upholstery shows some dirt and a few stains, but with today’s wide range of textile and interior care products, it should be relatively easy to clean.
The convertible top is intact and clean on the inside, matching the white instrument dials and the rest of the instruments, controls, and steering wheel. The radio function has not been tested. -
Zustand Exterieur
Presented in all its white glory, including white-accented wheels that remain in fine condition and are fitted with Falken tires from 2011 with good remaining tread. There is a small dent on the trunk lid and a minor, touched-up rust spot beneath the trim at the lower edge of the windshield. Some of the white finish is also flaking slightly on the antenna and fuel filler cap.

Fakten zum Modell
When the standard Golf Mk1 was retired in 1983 in favor of the second generation, Volkswagen chose to let the Cabriolet continue on the original Mk1 platform. This proved to be a stroke of genius, as the convertible model continued to sell in large numbers all the way until 1993.
The 1991 model year represents the final phase of this successful model, by then refined through the so-called “Clipper” update. This facelift introduced more streamlined integrated bumpers and side skirts painted in the body color. The GLi designation represented the sportier specification for the European market, meaning the car shared both its mechanics and lively 1.8-liter fuel-injected engine with the legendary Golf GTI.
Among the many special editions released during the model’s lifecycle, the all-white theme — often referred to as “White Edition” or “All White” — became one of the most sought-after versions. This design aesthetic fully embraced the monochrome trends of the era by combining crisp white paintwork with a matching white convertible top, white mirrors, and white alloy wheels. Inside, the White Edition featured a light-colored interior with white sport seats, creating a striking contrast against the black dashboard.
Today, the White Edition enjoys collector status as one of the purest and most nostalgic symbols of late-1980s and early-1990s automotive culture.

General information about the condition of the vehicles .
- At this auction, many vehicles have been included in car collections and have been stored (mothballed) for a long time. For this reason, they are described from a collector's perspective and may need technical reviews and maintenance service - oil, battery replacement, new tires, brake review, etc. - before they can be used. .
- During the auction days information about a vehicle may be updated up to the day before the auction ends. When you bid at the end of the auction period - and also if you have made an earlier bid - we therefore ask you to read the descriptions carefully, in case something has been changed due to new information.
Important to know before placing your bids!
- Once you have called in an item and the reservation price is reached we want you to deposit the entire purchase amount into our client funds account before retrieval can take place.
- When you need to retrieve a called in object we want you to examine it carefully. If you consider that the item does not match our description you do not need to complete the purchase. In this case the deposited purchase sum and the entry fee are refunded.
- If you do not examine the item on the spot the call charge will be debited, but you do not have to complete the deal.
- If you make the entire purchase exclusively at a distance you have 14 days to cancel, but must return the item at your own expense.
- Your shipping costs and other costs are not reimbursed when the right of withdrawal is exercised. Swedish court applies.
- For items that have not been collected within 14 days storage costs may be charged.
