The current owner knew the previous keeper personally and purchased the car last year. Since then, it has been fully serviced, fitted with a new cambelt, and had the lower sections beneath both doors repainted due to a few minor paint blisters and stone chips.
Always garage stored and clearly cherished throughout its life, the car still presents beautifully today with no known rust issues or accident damage. Any Volvo enthusiast will love this car – these old 740s are built like tanks and have a reputation for just keeping going and going.

Zustand technisch
Easy to start with a little choke and the engine runs smoothly. On the road it feels solid and dependable, with stable handling, a slick five-speed gearbox, and good brakes. Fitted with spoke alloy wheels and good tyres, inspected until 2028-05-31, fully serviced, and ready to drive home.

Zustand Interieur
Interior is very clean, tidy, and original, complete with the desirable factory sunroof. The cloth seats are in good condition, with only a minor repair to the driver's bolster that is barely noticeable. The door cards, trim panels, carpets, and headliner all present well. The dashboard is undamaged and retains its original instrumentation, which functions correctly. The radio works but would benefit from being refitted more securely.

Zustand Exterieur
A super nice-looking Volvo with straight and well-aligned bodywork, showing no notable dents or visible rust issues. Some older repair work can be seen around the inner edges of the doors. The underbody is exceptionally clean and tidy with no signs of accident damage or standout corrosion. The paintwork is bright and glossy throughout, and both lower sections beneath the door mouldings have recently been repainted to a high standard due to a few minor paint blisters and stone chips.

General information about the condition of the vehicles .
- At this auction, many vehicles have been included in car collections and have been stored (mothballed) for a long time. For this reason, they are described from a collector's perspective and may need technical reviews and maintenance service - oil, battery replacement, new tires, brake review, etc. - before they can be used. .
- During the auction days information about a vehicle may be updated up to the day before the auction ends. When you bid at the end of the auction period - and also if you have made an earlier bid - we therefore ask you to read the descriptions carefully, in case something has been changed due to new information.
Important to know before placing your bids!
- Once you have called in an item and the reservation price is reached we want you to deposit the entire purchase amount into our client funds account before retrieval can take place.
- When you need to retrieve a called in object we want you to examine it carefully. If you consider that the item does not match our description you do not need to complete the purchase. In this case the deposited purchase sum and the entry fee are refunded.
- If you do not examine the item on the spot the call charge will be debited, but you do not have to complete the deal.
- If you make the entire purchase exclusively at a distance you have 14 days to cancel, but must return the item at your own expense.
- Your shipping costs and other costs are not reimbursed when the right of withdrawal is exercised. Swedish court applies.
- For items that have not been collected within 14 days storage costs may be charged.
