The car was imported to Sweden many years ago and has since been cared for with great attention and respect. The current owner has owned the Mercedes since 2017 and has continued to preserve and maintain it in the fine condition it enjoys today.
An older restoration is responsible for the car’s well-preserved appearance, and the quality of the work has stood the test of time. The paintwork still retains an attractive shine that highlights the elegant lines of the body, while the interior presents a well-kept and inviting atmosphere. It is immediately apparent that this is a car that has been cherished throughout the years.
This is not a museum piece that must be handled with extreme caution, but rather a well-restored classic in good driver-condition. It functions as it should and will make a delightful enthusiast’s car for someone who appreciates both driving and classic motoring. Here is a very fine Mercedes-Benz 220 S Cabriolet that not only looks the part, but is also ready to continue creating memorable experiences on the road for many years to come.

Zustand technisch
The engine and drivetrain perform well, and the car behaves as it should on the road. The brakes operate smoothly and evenly. The car does pull slightly to the left, so a wheel alignment check and adjustment is recommended. The windscreen washer nozzle is missing, and its functionality is therefore unknown.

Zustand Interieur
The interior is in fine, well-maintained condition. The rear seat has been modified, and there is a gap at the rear edge of the seat cushion; please refer to the photos. This should be possible to restore to its original appearance without an excessive amount of work.
The wood trim panels are in good condition, as are the door cards, carpets, dashboard, and seats. Overall, the interior presents very well and reflects the care and attention the car has received over the years. -
Zustand Exterieur
The car was repainted some years ago and remains in good condition. There are a few minor blemishes, including a small crack in the paint on the right rear wing (see photo) and several light scratches that would likely respond well to polishing. There also appear to be a few paint blisters, visible near the windscreen wiper spindle and in a couple of other areas (not shown in the photos).
The chrome trim is generally in good condition, although the trim surrounding the right rear wheel arch has suffered some minor damage and deformation. The chrome strip beneath the passenger door and the trim on the right front wing also show slight distortion, though this is difficult to see in the photographs.
The car has been fitted with side indicator repeaters on the front wings. The underside appears to be in good condition. -
Zustand gesamt
A beautiful and well-maintained Mercedes-Benz 220 S Cabriolet in good driver-condition. Addressing the windscreen washer system and carrying out a wheel alignment would elevate the car to an even higher standard.

General information about the condition of the vehicles .
- At this auction, many vehicles have been included in car collections and have been stored (mothballed) for a long time. For this reason, they are described from a collector's perspective and may need technical reviews and maintenance service - oil, battery replacement, new tires, brake review, etc. - before they can be used. .
- During the auction days information about a vehicle may be updated up to the day before the auction ends. When you bid at the end of the auction period - and also if you have made an earlier bid - we therefore ask you to read the descriptions carefully, in case something has been changed due to new information.
Important to know before placing your bids!
- Once you have called in an item and the reservation price is reached we want you to deposit the entire purchase amount into our client funds account before retrieval can take place.
- When you need to retrieve a called in object we want you to examine it carefully. If you consider that the item does not match our description you do not need to complete the purchase. In this case the deposited purchase sum and the entry fee are refunded.
- If you do not examine the item on the spot the call charge will be debited, but you do not have to complete the deal.
- If you make the entire purchase exclusively at a distance you have 14 days to cancel, but must return the item at your own expense.
- Your shipping costs and other costs are not reimbursed when the right of withdrawal is exercised. Swedish court applies.
- For items that have not been collected within 14 days storage costs may be charged.
