The car arrived in Sweden in May 2012, at which point it had 82,200 miles on the odometer—just over 133,000 km. Today, it reads 83,679 miles, or 133,880 km. It hasn't seen much use in its new home country over the past 13 years—barely 1,000 km.
The current owner purchased it in the U.S., and his daughter drove it for a couple of years starting in 2014. Since then, the car has mostly been in storage. According to available information, there are only three registered examples of the 2005 model year in Sweden.
No owner’s manual or service book is available. The timing belt was replaced in 2016, the most recent oil service was done this past winter, and the latest approved inspection was carried out on January 20, 2025.

Front-wheel drive with a smooth, undramatic connection between the V6 engine and the automatic transmission—delivering enough power to support a moderately sporty drive. Brakes, damping, suspension, and overall road behavior are all within the normal range.

The third generation of the Mitsubishi Eclipse was inspired by Mitsubishi’s SST concept and debuted at the 1998 North American International Auto Show. It was the first concept vehicle Mitsubishi ever showcased at a U.S. auto show.
The Mitsubishi Eclipse Spyder GT is the convertible version of what is officially considered the fourth generation of the Eclipse model (though it’s essentially the final phase of the third generation, produced from 2000 to 2005).
Two engine options were available: a 2.4-liter inline-four producing 147 hp with 16 valves, and the well-known 3.0-liter V6 with 24 valves delivering 205 hp. It shared its powertrain with the eighth-generation Galant. In 2004, Mitsubishi Motors imported the Eclipse Spyder to the Japanese domestic market as a special edition.

General information about the condition of the vehicles .
- At this auction, many vehicles have been included in car collections and have been stored (mothballed) for a long time. For this reason, they are described from a collector's perspective and may need technical reviews and maintenance service - oil, battery replacement, new tires, brake review, etc. - before they can be used. .
- During the auction days information about a vehicle may be updated up to the day before the auction ends. When you bid at the end of the auction period - and also if you have made an earlier bid - we therefore ask you to read the descriptions carefully, in case something has been changed due to new information.
Important to know before placing your bids!
- Once you have called in an item and the reservation price is reached we want you to deposit the entire purchase amount into our client funds account before retrieval can take place.
- When you need to retrieve a called in object we want you to examine it carefully. If you consider that the item does not match our description you do not need to complete the purchase. In this case the deposited purchase sum and the entry fee are refunded.
- If you do not examine the item on the spot the call charge will be debited, but you do not have to complete the deal.
- If you make the entire purchase exclusively at a distance you have 14 days to cancel, but must return the item at your own expense.
- Your shipping costs and other costs are not reimbursed when the right of withdrawal is exercised. Swedish court applies.
- For items that have not been collected within 14 days storage costs may be charged.
