In 2002, the owner moved back to Sweden, and her loyal Volvo followed. Now, after 35 years of ownership, it is time for the car to find a new owner. Over the past few years, she has done her best to maintain the car, including partially repainting it with a spray can, patching up the headliner, and sealing the sunroof with silicone (which has since been removed).
The best part is that the car is not rusty, though it does need a repaint or wet sanding and polishing, as well as a new headliner. Additionally, lots of older documentation and service history are included.

Zustand technisch
As mentioned, the car runs and drives without any issues but does need a standard service. The electric windows and driver's side mirror work, but the passenger mirror, sunroof, and AC do not. The car has good wheels with older tires, plus an additional set of older winter wheels and tires included.

Zustand Interieur
Interior is complete with nice seats and good carpets but needs a new headliner due to sunroof leaks over time. The California sun has also cracked the top of the dashboard. The instrumentation and gauges work, and the radio is included. Please see the pictures for details.

Zustand Exterieur
Bodywork is straight, except for a small dent on the passenger side rear lower wheel arch, and it does not suffer from rust issues. The underbody is clean with no body rust, only some surface rust in places. The paintwork is 50% original and 50% spray can, which could be wet sanded and polished to look better, repainted, or kept as is.

Zustand gesamt
This is a very sought-after car, being a manual/overdrive 740 GLE with American square headlights and no rust issues. It has low mileage but needs some cosmetic fixes that can be done over time, such as replacing the headliner.

General information about the condition of the vehicles .
- At this auction, many vehicles have been included in car collections and have been stored (mothballed) for a long time. For this reason, they are described from a collector's perspective and may need technical reviews and maintenance service - oil, battery replacement, new tires, brake review, etc. - before they can be used. .
- During the auction days information about a vehicle may be updated up to the day before the auction ends. When you bid at the end of the auction period - and also if you have made an earlier bid - we therefore ask you to read the descriptions carefully, in case something has been changed due to new information.
Important to know before placing your bids!
- Once you have called in an item and the reservation price is reached we want you to deposit the entire purchase amount into our client funds account before retrieval can take place.
- When you need to retrieve a called in object we want you to examine it carefully. If you consider that the item does not match our description you do not need to complete the purchase. In this case the deposited purchase sum and the entry fee are refunded.
- If you do not examine the item on the spot the call charge will be debited, but you do not have to complete the deal.
- If you make the entire purchase exclusively at a distance you have 14 days to cancel, but must return the item at your own expense.
- Your shipping costs and other costs are not reimbursed when the right of withdrawal is exercised. Swedish court applies.
- For items that have not been collected within 14 days storage costs may be charged.
