Beschreibung
The current owner purchased the car as a mechanical project after the previous owner suffered an engine failure during track use. Although the vehicle had been properly maintained, the engine design requires particularly diligent oil management when subjected to sustained high-performance driving. In this case, overheating resulted in damage to the crankshaft bearings.
The current owner operates a Subaru-authorised workshop and has rebuilt the engine from the ground up using a new engine block. The car comes with one key. The most recent roadworthiness inspection was passed on 4 September 2025.
Teknische Daten
Beurteilung Fahrzeugzustand
-
Zustand technisch
The engine, transmission, drivetrain, and chassis all perform as expected and present well. The engine has been fully rebuilt using a brand-new engine block and is complemented by a new turbocharger, clutch, timing belt, and water pump. The air-conditioning compressor has also been replaced and blows cold efficiently, as it should.
-
Zustand Interieur
The interior shows normal wear consistent with the mileage, perhaps even better than expected. There is minor, typical wear on the driver's seat bolster from entry and exit. An unusual area of corrosion is present at the lower front left seat mounting point; however, according to the workshop, this is not an uncommon issue for the marque.
-
Zustand Exterieur
The paintwork presents well for the mileage. There is a minor blemish near the exhaust tip. From the catalytic converter rearwards, the car is fitted with a Ferrita exhaust system, which was available as a factory-approved accessory. It rides on a set of attractive original 18-inch alloy wheels fitted with Michelin Pilot Sport 4 tyres from 2023. An additional set of original 17-inch wheels fitted with Continental VikingContact 7 winter friction tyres is also included in the sale.
-
Zustand gesamt
A modern performance classic with a large and enthusiastic following. Following its engine rebuild, this example is well positioned to provide many more years of enjoyment for future owners—provided they understand that track use demands additional servicing and maintenance beyond the standard schedule. With the proper care, it should prove a durable and rewarding companion.

Fakten zum Modell
Mechanically, the WRX STi retained its proven layout but received significant chassis upgrades. Under the bonnet was a 2.5-litre turbocharged boxer engine (EJ257) producing 300 hp and 407 Nm of torque. Power was sent to all four wheels through a six-speed manual transmission and Subaru’s advanced all-wheel-drive system featuring a driver-controlled centre differential (DCCD).
To enhance handling, the car was lowered by 5 millimetres and the suspension substantially stiffened with firmer springs, thicker anti-roll bars, and revised bushings. It was also equipped with lighter 18-inch alloy wheels supplied by Enkei. The result was a car that felt noticeably sharper on track and offered more responsive steering than its immediate predecessors.
