The final approved inspection was completed on 24 May 2016, and the car is now inspection exempt. Purchased through our auction in late 2025, the current owner has since carried out a thorough recommissioning, including repairs to the front chassis rails, leaving the underside solid and rust-free, rewiring the rear indicators to original specification, servicing with fresh oils and spark plugs, and rectifying a carburettor fuel leak. The result is a car that runs very well and feels impressively lively on the road.
The car was featured in Nostalgia Magazine No. 12 (2018) and is one of a very small number remaining in Sweden. According to The M.G. Car Club Of Sweden, just 35 MG Magnette cars remain registered in the country, comprising 18 ZA models and 17 ZB models.

Zustand technisch
Starts easily with a little choke and benefits from a minute or two of warm-up before settling into a smooth and stable idle. The engine runs well with no unusual noises, while the gearbox, brakes, and road manners all perform as they should. Thanks to its lively twin-carburettor engine, the car offers a surprisingly nippy and enjoyable driving experience. Recently serviced and fully reviewed, it is inspection exempt and ready for its next owner to enjoy. It also sits on a handsome set of chrome wire wheels fitted with good tyres all round.

Zustand Interieur
Nice and fresh red leather interior with tidy carpets and an original Webasto sliding sunroof that opens and closes easily. The wood trim presents well for its age, adding to the car's period charm. An older Becker Monza radio is also fitted a desirable period accessory for many enthusiasts.

Zustand Exterieur
Older restoration and repaint in the original colour carried out in the late 1980s, which has held up remarkably well. There is some minor cracking visible in a few areas, mainly around the C-pillars, but overall the car still presents very nicely. The bodywork is straight with good panel fit throughout, while the underbody is clean, solid, and free from any notable rust concerns.
The chrome work remains bright and presentable all round, with the exception of the rear boot handle, which has dulled over time and would benefit from rechroming if desired. -
Zustand gesamt
A nice and presentable example that's ready to be enjoyed immediately. Rarely seen on the road today, the MG Magnette offers plenty of charm along with a surprisingly fun and nippy driving experience.

General information about the condition of the vehicles .
- At this auction, many vehicles have been included in car collections and have been stored (mothballed) for a long time. For this reason, they are described from a collector's perspective and may need technical reviews and maintenance service - oil, battery replacement, new tires, brake review, etc. - before they can be used. .
- During the auction days information about a vehicle may be updated up to the day before the auction ends. When you bid at the end of the auction period - and also if you have made an earlier bid - we therefore ask you to read the descriptions carefully, in case something has been changed due to new information.
Important to know before placing your bids!
- Once you have called in an item and the reservation price is reached we want you to deposit the entire purchase amount into our client funds account before retrieval can take place.
- When you need to retrieve a called in object we want you to examine it carefully. If you consider that the item does not match our description you do not need to complete the purchase. In this case the deposited purchase sum and the entry fee are refunded.
- If you do not examine the item on the spot the call charge will be debited, but you do not have to complete the deal.
- If you make the entire purchase exclusively at a distance you have 14 days to cancel, but must return the item at your own expense.
- Your shipping costs and other costs are not reimbursed when the right of withdrawal is exercised. Swedish court applies.
- For items that have not been collected within 14 days storage costs may be charged.
