A truly unique car when it comes to mileage. According to hearsay, it was purchased by a couple in October 1997. It was driven only a few miles before being taken off the road in September 1997. Since then, it remained unused and uninspected until May 25, 2020.
The current owner took over the car in April 2025. Upon recommissioning, the following work was carried out:
– Oil changes
– Timing belt replacement
– Brake system check
– Full detailing
For the extremely sharp-eyed, you might spot the occasional polishable scratch or possibly a stone chip—that’s it.
The car even retains its new car smell. Truly fascinating.
New roof bars are included.
Unfortunately, no documentation is available as the car comes from an estate.
Original spare wheel and jack are present, along with two keys.

Fakten zum Modell
The 1997 Opel Astra Estate is a model developed by the German car manufacturer Opel. The Astra G series was launched in late 1997 and was designed to compete with models like the Ford Escort and Volkswagen Golf. This car came in several variants, including a 1.6 16V engine capable of accelerating from 0–60 mph in 10.1 seconds and 0–100 km/h in 11 seconds. Another version, the 1.7 D, offered slower performance, reaching 0–60 mph in 15.3 seconds and 0–100 km/h in 16.4 seconds.
The Astra F, representing the previous generation, had a long production run and remained popular during the transition to the Astra G. Between 1936 and 2015, over 24 million Opel estate cars were sold under the Kadett and Astra nameplates—proof of the model’s durability and popularity. The Astra continues to be a key part of Opel’s lineup.

General information about the condition of the vehicles .
- At this auction, many vehicles have been included in car collections and have been stored (mothballed) for a long time. For this reason, they are described from a collector's perspective and may need technical reviews and maintenance service - oil, battery replacement, new tires, brake review, etc. - before they can be used. .
- During the auction days information about a vehicle may be updated up to the day before the auction ends. When you bid at the end of the auction period - and also if you have made an earlier bid - we therefore ask you to read the descriptions carefully, in case something has been changed due to new information.
Important to know before placing your bids!
- Once you have called in an item and the reservation price is reached we want you to deposit the entire purchase amount into our client funds account before retrieval can take place.
- When you need to retrieve a called in object we want you to examine it carefully. If you consider that the item does not match our description you do not need to complete the purchase. In this case the deposited purchase sum and the entry fee are refunded.
- If you do not examine the item on the spot the call charge will be debited, but you do not have to complete the deal.
- If you make the entire purchase exclusively at a distance you have 14 days to cancel, but must return the item at your own expense.
- Your shipping costs and other costs are not reimbursed when the right of withdrawal is exercised. Swedish court applies.
- For items that have not been collected within 14 days storage costs may be charged.
