Beschreibung

Jörgen Nilsson in Vislanda is a dedicated Saab enthusiast and a highly skilled mechanic. Over the years, he has collected three fine Saabs, each meticulously restored from the ground up. The Saab now being offered is the first in his collection, purchased in 2006. He completely disassembled the car, and every part was painted individually in Saab’s original Laser Red.

The engine was replaced and rebuilt with ported heads, a sportier camshaft, and a Weber 32/36 carburetor. The original engine was later restored and is included, fully rebuilt. Additionally, a dashboard from a Monte Carlo model was installed—though the original is also included.

This is a car that runs flawlessly and is sure to spark desire among all Saab enthusiasts

Fakten zum Modell

Saab has its roots in the collective of engineers at the aircraft manufacturer in Linköping, with Sixten Sason leading the way in the 1940s. The prototype for the Saab 92 (92001, known as the “Ur-Saab”) was presented to company management in Linköping on June 4, 1946, and series production began on December 12, 1949. Power output: 25 hp at 3,800 rpm.

The Saab 96 was produced between 1960 and 1980. Before the V4 engine—originally developed by Ford—was introduced in 1967, the 96 was powered by a three-cylinder two-stroke engine.
