The car’s previous owner bought it in 2001 with the intention of modifying it with fender flares and other custom touches. However, due to illness, he was unable to complete the project. The current owner, who knew him personally, acquired the car for his collection in 2008 with the goal of restoring it to original condition. As a skilled mechanic and car builder with several ongoing projects, this one had to “wait in line” until last year, when the restoration finally began.
The car was completely disassembled, and it was found that no rust repairs were needed. It was then sent off for repainting and reassembled with the excellent result you see today.
There is a note from the Swedish vehicle inspection agency (Bilprovningen) showing the odometer reading at 210,560 km in the year 2000. The car was taken off the road in 2001 and wasn’t driven again until now, in 2025. At this most recent inspection, the odometer showed 112,880 km, suggesting that the instrument cluster was likely replaced during that time.

The car has been serviced and thoroughly checked, with many new parts installed. Notably, the exhaust system is from an Urquattro, giving it a powerful sound. The engine and transmission perform flawlessly, and all controls and differentials function perfectly. A compression test shows a consistent 13 bar across all five cylinders. During the service and timing belt replacement, the clutch was also replaced. The car feels stable and solid on the road.

The car has been fully disassembled and professionally repainted, with each part handled individually. Everything on the car is in top condition with nothing to criticize. Even the original Quattro decals on the windows have been preserved. It sits on new tires mounted on beautiful original wheels.

An icon in automotive history and a cornerstone of Audi’s legacy, the Audi Quattro also laid the foundation for today’s rally cars. Audi was the first to compete in World Rally Championship events with a four-wheel-drive "production car." Its five-cylinder engine, lockable center and rear differentials, and the distinctive “quattro” logo integrated into the heated rear window are just a few of the standout features that defined the model.
The earliest model years came with analog gauges, but in 1983, the Quattro was updated with digital instrumentation. Between 1980 and 1991, a total of 11,452 units were produced. From 1981 to 1985, the Audi Quattro, in its various forms, claimed 23 WRC victories—8 of them secured by Sweden’s own Stig Blomqvist.

General information about the condition of the vehicles .
- At this auction, many vehicles have been included in car collections and have been stored (mothballed) for a long time. For this reason, they are described from a collector's perspective and may need technical reviews and maintenance service - oil, battery replacement, new tires, brake review, etc. - before they can be used. .
- During the auction days information about a vehicle may be updated up to the day before the auction ends. When you bid at the end of the auction period - and also if you have made an earlier bid - we therefore ask you to read the descriptions carefully, in case something has been changed due to new information.
Important to know before placing your bids!
- Once you have called in an item and the reservation price is reached we want you to deposit the entire purchase amount into our client funds account before retrieval can take place.
- When you need to retrieve a called in object we want you to examine it carefully. If you consider that the item does not match our description you do not need to complete the purchase. In this case the deposited purchase sum and the entry fee are refunded.
- If you do not examine the item on the spot the call charge will be debited, but you do not have to complete the deal.
- If you make the entire purchase exclusively at a distance you have 14 days to cancel, but must return the item at your own expense.
- Your shipping costs and other costs are not reimbursed when the right of withdrawal is exercised. Swedish court applies.
