The car remains mostly in original condition but has been upgraded with a refurbished Cortina GT 1500 engine fitted with a performance camshaft, a NOS Abarth sport exhaust from the 1960s, and a Cortina GT sports steering wheel. The original engine and steering wheel are included separately.
The body was welded where necessary and repainted in its original color, Ermine White. The braking system was completely overhauled, and all wear parts in the front suspension were replaced. New shock absorbers were fitted all around.
Other work includes a new windshield, new rubber seals and weatherstrips, and a new front bumper (NOS). A number of spare parts are included, such as oil filters, ignition components, brake parts, and belts.
Extensive documentation comes with the car, including full ownership history since it was first sold by Ford dealer Yngwe Svensson in Västerås. Also included are the delivery certificate from Ford Dagenham, the original service book, Ford’s rust protection warranty, the owner’s manual, parts catalog, and more.
The car is delivered with two sets of keys.

Zustand technisch
The engine and drivetrain run well. The carburetor may need rejetting, as the engine runs slightly unevenly, especially at idle. The fuel gauge is of uncertain functionality. Both brakes and clutch operate as they should. The windshield washer is not functional, as the car is missing the pump and fluid reservoir.

Zustand Interieur
The interior is in good condition. There are signs of use, but nothing that detracts from the overall impression. The front seats and rear bench retain their original upholstery, which is unusually intact (though the tops of the front seatbacks show some wear – see photos). There are a few small holes in the headliner (see photos), and a patch repair on the driver’s footwell mat (also shown in photos).

Zustand Exterieur
The car was repainted three years ago. The paint is in decent condition, though some weld repairs are visible and the prep work isn’t perfect – see photos. The chrome trim is generally in good condition, except for the rear bumper where the chrome shows some wear.

A restored and road-ready car that, with a few small fixes and the installation of a windshield washer system, could be even better. Few Cortinas remain in this condition today.

General information about the condition of the vehicles .
- At this auction, many vehicles have been included in car collections and have been stored (mothballed) for a long time. For this reason, they are described from a collector's perspective and may need technical reviews and maintenance service - oil, battery replacement, new tires, brake review, etc. - before they can be used. .
- During the auction days information about a vehicle may be updated up to the day before the auction ends. When you bid at the end of the auction period - and also if you have made an earlier bid - we therefore ask you to read the descriptions carefully, in case something has been changed due to new information.
Important to know before placing your bids!
- Once you have called in an item and the reservation price is reached we want you to deposit the entire purchase amount into our client funds account before retrieval can take place.
- When you need to retrieve a called in object we want you to examine it carefully. If you consider that the item does not match our description you do not need to complete the purchase. In this case the deposited purchase sum and the entry fee are refunded.
- If you do not examine the item on the spot the call charge will be debited, but you do not have to complete the deal.
- If you make the entire purchase exclusively at a distance you have 14 days to cancel, but must return the item at your own expense.
- Your shipping costs and other costs are not reimbursed when the right of withdrawal is exercised. Swedish court applies.
- For items that have not been collected within 14 days storage costs may be charged.
