Beschreibung
The car was imported on behalf of the current owner from Baltimore, USA. It was Ivar Ericsson, known as Bil-Ivar, who found the car and assisted with the import. Bil-Ivar’s museum in Hoting has many fine cars in its exhibition hall, and this Thunderbird would undoubtedly fit in that company. The current owner has driven it sparingly at various meets for the Thunderbird Club and other classic car events in the Härjedalen area, where it still resides.

Zustand technisch
The engine and the two-speed automatic transmission work perfectly with smooth and consistent operation. The only non-original parts are a new fuel pump and a new starter motor. Additionally, the front brakes have been replaced with disc brakes, and they work flawlessly. The old drums are still available.

Zustand Interieur
The interior is in good condition with intact and clean panels and fully upholstered seats. The dashboard is equally fine and completely intact with all gauges functioning. Even the clock works and runs. The speedometer is, of course, in miles. The trunk is in equally good condition with original tools and a spare tire that appears to be as old as the car and never used.

Zustand Exterieur
The paint is in very good condition considering the age, and it’s hard to determine if it’s the original paint or an older respray. Regardless, the paint is in excellent condition, as are the trim and chrome. The body is straight and fine, with no signs of previous repairs. The fitment of the hood, trunk, and doors is excellent. Nice wheels and tires with whitewalls are mounted, all in the style of that era.
The soft top is newly made and completely unworn, but unfortunately, the manufacturer did not use enough material above the side windows, so a few centimeters need to be sewn on each side to seal against the windows. Otherwise, the fit of the convertible top is very good. An original fiberglass hardtop in very good condition both inside and out is included, featuring the characteristic round side window that was available on that model year. -

- At this auction, many vehicles have been included in car collections and have been stored (mothballed) for a long time. For this reason, they are described from a collector's perspective and may need technical reviews and maintenance service - oil, battery replacement, new tires, brake review, etc. - before they can be used. .
- During the auction days information about a vehicle may be updated up to the day before the auction ends. When you bid at the end of the auction period - and also if you have made an earlier bid - we therefore ask you to read the descriptions carefully, in case something has been changed due to new information.
Important to know before placing your bids!
- Once you have called in an item and the reservation price is reached we want you to deposit the entire purchase amount into our client funds account before retrieval can take place.
- When you need to retrieve a called in object we want you to examine it carefully. If you consider that the item does not match our description you do not need to complete the purchase. In this case the deposited purchase sum and the entry fee are refunded.
- If you do not examine the item on the spot the call charge will be debited, but you do not have to complete the deal.
- If you make the entire purchase exclusively at a distance you have 14 days to cancel, but must return the item at your own expense.
- Your shipping costs and other costs are not reimbursed when the right of withdrawal is exercised. Swedish court applies.
- For items that have not been collected within 14 days storage costs may be charged.
