A nice, unrestored PV with original paint, a very nice interior, and a split rear window. It has always been in Lycksele. Taken off the road in 1987 and now brought out for sale.

Beschreibung

This car was sold new by AB Olssons Bilaffär in Lycksele in 1953 and has been in the area between Lycksele and Tärnaby ever since. According to information, the car was used for over 15 years before it was stored away in a barn in the late 1960s. It was then brought out and refurbished in the early 1980s, with the interior floor and trunk being painted. It underwent servicing and was taken to the vehicle inspection for re-registration in 1985. It was driven for a few summers and then remained idle due to its age. The son is now selling the car on behalf of his late father, who had a fine collection of Volvos, with this being the oldest car in the collection.

Beurteilung Fahrzeugzustand

  • Zustand technisch:

    The engine turns over, and it shouldn't be difficult to get the car back on the road. It requires brake and engine servicing, as well as a new battery. Based on the condition and known history, the car has likely covered 126 000 km, indicating that the odometer has completed one full rotation.

  • Zustand Interieur:

    Superb original interior. Most likely, the car has had full-cover seat covers for the majority of its time.

  • Zustand Exterieur:

    Original paint with surface rust around stone chips. Nothing that needs immediate attention, but polishing would make the car look really nice. It appears to be in good condition underneath, with no visible signs of rust damage. The engine compartment and trunk also look good as usual. Molding and details are in decent condition. Unfortunately, the bumpers have some larger rust spots on the chrome, as shown in the pictures.

  • Zustand gesamt:

    The car would become significantly nicer after a thorough detailing, along with some basic mechanical work and servicing, allowing it to be used again. It presents a good overall impression for an unrestored vehicle, thanks to its history of being driven in a salt-free climate and stored in a dry environment.

  • At this auction, many vehicles have been included in car collections and have been stored (mothballed) for a long time.   • During the auction days information about a vehicle may be updated up to the day before the auction ends. When you bid at the end of the auction period - and also if you have made an earlier bid - we therefore ask you to read the descriptions carefully, in case something has been changed due to new information.
Important to know before placing your bids!
  • Once you have called in an item and the reservation price is reached we want you to deposit the entire purchase amount into our client funds account before retrieval can take place.
  • When you need to retrieve a called in object we want you to examine it carefully. If you consider that the item does not match our description you do not need to complete the purchase. In this case the deposited purchase sum and the entry fee are refunded.
  • If you do not examine the item on the spot the call charge will be debited, but you do not have to complete the deal.
  • If you make the entire purchase exclusively at a distance you have 14 days to cancel, but must return the item at your own expense.
  • Your shipping costs and other costs are not reimbursed when the right of withdrawal is exercised. Swedish court applies.
  • For items that have not been collected within 14 days storage costs may be charged.
