Beschreibung

Opel Rekord with 75,000 km on the odometer, Traded in at a car dealer - Matreco in Luleå - and has been standing in a warm garage since the late 1970s. The mileage seems to match the condition. Presumably, this was a trade-in car that the current owner's father managed to buy from the car dealer. The Opel, which was then only twelve years old, was probably considered outdated rather than old and worn.
In northern Sweden, the roads are not salted at all to the same extent, if at all, as in the coastal parts and southern Sweden. This means that the cars that have spent most of their life there tend to have minimal rust.

We perceive that the car is in a very good untouched original condition. The paintwork has some minor repairs after stone chips and some damage from a roof rack.

Beurteilung Fahrzeugzustand

  • Zustand technisch:

    Not started or tested, unknown when it was last started. The exhaust system is in poor condition.

    The engine compartment is as neat as it can be after more than 40 years of inactivity. Battery and thermostat housing has oxidation. Unknown when the car was last started.

  • Zustand Interieur:

    Original upholstery and interior in very good condition, which speaks of low miles. The headliner has become a little saggy from old moisture damage around the rear window. The boot space in fine and original carpet is in very good condition.

  • Zustand Exterieur:

    The original paint has held up well, with paint touched up on thresholds and the rear valance. A little surface rust can be seen on the wing edges. The body and floor are complete and undamaged. Chrome and trim are fine and the car is generally very well kept. Hubcaps, new rear light and some other parts are included

Fakten zum Modell

Opel Rekord serie A introducerades i mars 1963 som efterträdare till Opel Rekord P2. Den var en aning kortare men också bredare än sin föregångare med en hjulbas som var cirka 10 cm längre (2 620 mm). Serie A kombinerade en stilren modern kaross med en rad motorer med ursprung från1937. I augusti 1965 ersattes den av Opel Rekord serie B som från utsidan var väldigt lik sin föregångare men som under motorhuven skulle introducera en ny generation fyrcylindriga motorer som skulle driva Opel Rekord fram till 1986 då den sista Rekorden tillverkades.

Important to know before placing your bids!
  • Once you have called in an item and the reservation price is reached we want you to deposit the entire purchase amount into our client funds account before retrieval can take place.
  • When you need to retrieve a called in object we want you to examine it carefully. If you consider that the item does not match our description you do not need to complete the purchase. In this case the deposited purchase sum and the entry fee are refunded.
  • If you do not examine the item on the spot the call charge will be debited, but you do not have to complete the deal.
  • If you make the entire purchase exclusively at a distance you have 14 days to cancel, but must return the item at your own expense.
  • Your shipping costs and other costs are not reimbursed when the right of withdrawal is exercised. Swedish court applies.
  • For items that have not been collected within 14 days storage costs may be charged.
