Current owner bought the car in January 2020 and became the fifth owner of this Lotus. It was then garaged in Forsa in Hälsingland for 20 years. The then owner bought it from his brother-in-law who had owned the car since 1988.
Before that there were two owners in Malmö, the first of which owned the Lotus for three years and he was workshop manager on Wendel's car and the owner after that also owned the Lotus for three years.
The car is in original design with, among other things, the special radio that has recording capability. The original steering wheel is included separately.
This example was ordered in a series of 5 cars for the Italian market. For some reason that history does not tell why the cars ended up in Sweden with Wendels, importer of Lotus in Malmö. The car was registered for the first time on 19-05-1982. When the current owner bought the car, the last inspection was done on 08/15/1988. At that time it had driven 52,220 km, now it has gone another 100 km and is inspected on 12/07/2022.
During the current owner's time, the following repairs and service have been done:
- Timing belt, tensioner roller.
- Water pump refurbished with rope kit from Lotus.
- Carburetors ultrasonically washed
- Replacement of multi-belts
- Replacement door hinge driver's door
- Change some bushings rear carriage
- All filters as well as oil and spark plugs
- New fuel pump, Airtex
- Head gasket and gaskets related to this.
- Cylinder head refurbished
- Cleaning and renovation of the electrical system
- New main headlights
- Exchange cooling hoses
- New tires (the others were from the 80s)
Most of the jobs are carried out by Jon Remmer's garage in Ljusdal.

Original paint in good condition with evidence of wear. Front paint damage is minor. See photos for a hole in the front light on the spoiler. Alloy wheels have minor wear and scratches. The right rearview mirror bracket is broken.

Fakten zum Modell
The model was produced from 1975 to 1982 and during these years, 1519 Eclats were produced. In 1980, a total of 121 cars were produced. According to the Lotus Club's register, there are currently 7 Eclats in Sweden.
4-cylinder engine with double overhead camshafts and 16 valves. 1973 cc.
Double Dellorto carburetors.
5-speed gearbox.
Chassis with sheet metal construction, featuring two forward legs and a crossbar at the back over the differential and on this, a plastic body was mounted.
This small series was special with more exclusive interiors, such as Alcantara on the dashboard, leather seats, electric windows, radio with microphone for recording, among others.

General information about the condition of the vehicles .
- At this auction, many vehicles have been included in car collections and have been stored (mothballed) for a long time. For this reason, they are described from a collector's perspective and may need technical reviews and maintenance service - oil, battery replacement, new tires, brake review, etc. - before they can be used. .
- During the auction days information about a vehicle may be updated up to the day before the auction ends. When you bid at the end of the auction period - and also if you have made an earlier bid - we therefore ask you to read the descriptions carefully, in case something has been changed due to new information.
Important to know before placing your bids!
- Once you have called in an item and the reservation price is reached we want you to deposit the entire purchase amount into our client funds account before retrieval can take place.
- When you need to retrieve a called in object we want you to examine it carefully. If you consider that the item does not match our description you do not need to complete the purchase. In this case the deposited purchase sum and the entry fee are refunded.
- If you do not examine the item on the spot the call charge will be debited, but you do not have to complete the deal.
- If you make the entire purchase exclusively at a distance you have 14 days to cancel, but must return the item at your own expense.
- Your shipping costs and other costs are not reimbursed when the right of withdrawal is exercised. Swedish court applies.
