This vehicle was re-registered for road use on 3 September 1993. The current owner, a well-known figure in the motor history hobby for many years, acquired the vehicle in November 2001 and it has been part of his extensive private collection. Due to logistical reasons, the seller and Bilwebauctions chose to leave the vehicle in the collection during inspection and photography.
According to information, it was only driven in traffic for a few months before the Second World War broke out and the possibility of motoring in general was withdrawn. Ford's advertising at the end of the war was "When peace comes, Ford comes". So when peace arrived and it became possible to venture out on the roads again, the fleet of cars began to run. However, pre-war cars quickly became outdated. This one was therefore left standing and was not driven for many years, eventually falling out of the register, but was later restored and re-registered.
Documentation and literature are included.

Zustand technisch
Started up prior to sale but not driven for several years. It requires an inspection but its condition and simplicity mean it should not be too much work to get it back on the road again.
Not inspected on a lift but it appears solid underneath. -

Lovely restored interior in original specification with green leather upholstery and matching textile mats. Steering wheel, controls and wooden dashboard with Smiths instruments in fine condition and likewise in original specification.

Fine and glossy paintwork in green and black. Chrome, trim, glass, emblems and lighting details in fine condition. The distinctive front grille with an additional light and horn in fine condition. Likewise the wheels and wheel caps. Loose door panels and roof in good condition. Engine compartment in fine and clean condition.

Vår far har alltid varit en entusiastisk motorhistoriker och genom åren har det passerat många fina och välhållna vagnar i samlingen. Han har alltid skött om, servat och hållit dem i fint och körklart skick. Det har varit en livsstil och mängde av vänner, vagnar och minnen bär han och vi i familjen med oss. Fakten zum Modell
MG Morris Garages was founded by W.R. Morris. Initially he sold bicycles and subsequently cars. From 1913 he manufactured cars under his own name, Morris Motor Company. At the same time he retained Morris Garages as a separate company and from 1924 he sold Morris cars with tuned engines and bespoke coachwork as M.G. cars.
During the 1930s a number of different models were produced and named as letter types, including J-type and P-type. In 1935 W.R. Morris sold MG to the Nuffield Organisation. That same year the Morris Eight arrived, a classic British small family car that became a great success and made Morris Britain's largest car manufacturer during the second half of the 1930s. It was available as two- and four-door saloons as well as an open Tourer. Hydraulic brakes and electric windscreen wipers were modern features on a small family car at that time. It came in Series 1 from 1935–37, Series 2 for a brief period in 1938. Series E, which was produced from 1938–48 with a break for the Second World War. When Series E arrived it received a more modern design with a new grille and headlights integrated into the front wings. It would maintain this appearance until the Morris Minor took over in 1948. The open Tourer version from 1939 was made in a small batch just before the outbreak of war and today only approximately 15 examples are preserved worldwide. In 1968 MG became part of British Leyland and 1980 was the end. However the marque lived on with Rover and later BMW but 2005 was the end once again. Now though, the Nanjing Automobile Group has dusted off the MG name once more. But that is quite another story.

General information about the condition of the vehicles .
- At this auction, many vehicles have been included in car collections and have been stored (mothballed) for a long time. For this reason, they are described from a collector's perspective and may need technical reviews and maintenance service - oil, battery replacement, new tires, brake review, etc. - before they can be used. .
- During the auction days information about a vehicle may be updated up to the day before the auction ends. When you bid at the end of the auction period - and also if you have made an earlier bid - we therefore ask you to read the descriptions carefully, in case something has been changed due to new information.
Important to know before placing your bids!
- Once you have called in an item and the reservation price is reached we want you to deposit the entire purchase amount into our client funds account before retrieval can take place.
- When you need to retrieve a called in object we want you to examine it carefully. If you consider that the item does not match our description you do not need to complete the purchase. In this case the deposited purchase sum and the entry fee are refunded.
- If you do not examine the item on the spot the call charge will be debited, but you do not have to complete the deal.
- If you make the entire purchase exclusively at a distance you have 14 days to cancel, but must return the item at your own expense.
- Your shipping costs and other costs are not reimbursed when the right of withdrawal is exercised. Swedish court applies.
- For items that have not been collected within 14 days storage costs may be charged.
