The Mercedes-Benz E-Class (W124), introduced in 1987 and produced until 1995, is renowned as the final 'over-engineered' Mercedes model before cost-cutting measures were implemented. It came in various body styles, including saloon, estate, coupe, and convertible, and offered a wide range of petrol and diesel engine options. With its superbly balanced chassis and multi-link rear suspension, the W124 boasted precise power-assisted steering and reliable disc brakes, embodying the qualities for which Mercedes was esteemed.

In addition to the cylinder head gasket replacement, the car has recently received new brakes and a replacement multi-belt in 2020. It has been consistently and properly serviced, with a history of local driving. During our test drive, the car performed well without any issues. An attractive feature is the functioning electric sunroof. The tires and wheels are in good condition.

Zustand Interieur
The interior of the car is in excellent condition, as can be seen in the pictures. There are no damages on the seats or carpets, and the dashboard and trims are free from cracks. All of the instrumentation, including the radio, electric mirrors, and roof, functions properly. The overall interior is well-maintained and presents a pleasing aesthetic.

Zustand Exterieur
The car is very free from rust issues, except for some touch-ups around the rear lights and blisters on the metal window frames, as shown in the pictures. The underbody is clean and tidy. The paintwork has a nice finish, with some touch-ups on the bonnet and other areas. There is a scratch on the rear lower passenger door and bumper, and the front bumper requires repair or replacement.

These cars are highly sought after for their classic design and styling, and this particular one has been well maintained. With the necessary cosmetic repairs, it has the potential to look absolutely great.

General information about the condition of the vehicles .
- At this auction, many vehicles have been included in car collections and have been stored (mothballed) for a long time. For this reason, they are described from a collector's perspective and may need technical reviews and maintenance service - oil, battery replacement, new tires, brake review, etc. - before they can be used. .
- During the auction days information about a vehicle may be updated up to the day before the auction ends. When you bid at the end of the auction period - and also if you have made an earlier bid - we therefore ask you to read the descriptions carefully, in case something has been changed due to new information.
Important to know before placing your bids!
- Once you have called in an item and the reservation price is reached we want you to deposit the entire purchase amount into our client funds account before retrieval can take place.
- When you need to retrieve a called in object we want you to examine it carefully. If you consider that the item does not match our description you do not need to complete the purchase. In this case the deposited purchase sum and the entry fee are refunded.
- If you do not examine the item on the spot the call charge will be debited, but you do not have to complete the deal.
- If you make the entire purchase exclusively at a distance you have 14 days to cancel, but must return the item at your own expense.
- Your shipping costs and other costs are not reimbursed when the right of withdrawal is exercised. Swedish court applies.
- For items that have not been collected within 14 days storage costs may be charged.
