The car was registered by the current owner's husband in the early 1980s. He purchased it from a gardener in Alstad, north of Trelleborg, where the Topolino was sitting in a rather sad state in the gardener's garden. The owner undertook a restoration over a couple of years, and the car hit the roads again in 1983. He sold it to his friend three years ago in 2020 but repurchased the 500 model a year later. The condition remains excellent to this day, and an extensive spare parts package is also included in the purchase. The full history of the car has not been completely determined, but it is likely that either the gardener imported it without registering the car or it was sold new in Sweden and then re-registered. The latter seems more plausible.

The car has been sitting for a couple of years, and with old fuel, the engine runs a bit unevenly. However, with fresh gasoline and some driving, it will likely run much better. The last inspection was conducted in May 2018, but the car was already approved and exempted from inspection due to its age and a previous inspection in July 2016.

The car has a pleasant and fresh feel inside, with intact and clean upholstery. Overall, it looks stylish in a functional way. A son can fondly recall how, in his childhood in the 1980s, he used to ride in the space behind the seats. The interior is cozy, with a nice carpet adding to the ambiance.

Fakten zum Modell
In 1936, Fiat introduced its smallest model, the Fiat 500, which earned the nickname "Topolino," the Italian name for Mickey Mouse. The car, weighing only 600 kilograms, could accommodate two people and lacked a trunk, but it offered plenty of space for its occupants. It was a true car, featuring a water-cooled four-cylinder engine, a synchronized gearbox, and individual front suspension. The Topolino came in two versions - one with a large foldable fabric roof and the other as a covered version.
In 1948, the updated 500B was introduced with a top-valve engine, and at the same time, the model series was supplemented with a station wagon variant with a small rear seat. The following year, the 500C was launched, featuring a trunk. The 500C was produced until 1955 when it was replaced by the slightly larger 600 with a rear-engine layout.

General information about the condition of the vehicles .
- At this auction, many vehicles have been included in car collections and have been stored (mothballed) for a long time. For this reason, they are described from a collector's perspective and may need technical reviews and maintenance service - oil, battery replacement, new tires, brake review, etc. - before they can be used. .
- During the auction days information about a vehicle may be updated up to the day before the auction ends. When you bid at the end of the auction period - and also if you have made an earlier bid - we therefore ask you to read the descriptions carefully, in case something has been changed due to new information.
Important to know before placing your bids!
- Once you have called in an item and the reservation price is reached we want you to deposit the entire purchase amount into our client funds account before retrieval can take place.
- When you need to retrieve a called in object we want you to examine it carefully. If you consider that the item does not match our description you do not need to complete the purchase. In this case the deposited purchase sum and the entry fee are refunded.
- If you do not examine the item on the spot the call charge will be debited, but you do not have to complete the deal.
- If you make the entire purchase exclusively at a distance you have 14 days to cancel, but must return the item at your own expense.
- Your shipping costs and other costs are not reimbursed when the right of withdrawal is exercised. Swedish court applies.
- For items that have not been collected within 14 days storage costs may be charged.
