It was registered for road use in Sweden in February 1980. The first owner likely drove it relatively sparingly until 1991, when a new owner took over. Five years later, it ended up in Säffle, where the current owner acquired the car in May 2010.
He has always kept the 96 in a heated garage, and previous owners also appear to have taken good care of it. It is most likely that the odometer has rolled over once, meaning the actual mileage is just over 129,700 km.

Zustand technisch
Starts easily and runs smoothly. The gearbox, freewheel, brakes, and chassis all feel as they should. Previous and current owners have serviced the car according to schedule—and more—but documentation is lacking.

Zustand Interieur
When the current owner purchased the car, a factory-new upholstery set was included, which he installed. It is therefore intact, clean, and fresh, along with the rest of the interior, including door panels, headliner, and carpets.
The parcel shelf has become sun-faded and lost some of its color. The speakers that were previously mounted in the door panel openings are still included; the owner has covered the holes from the inside with panels. -
Zustand Exterieur
A clean and representative exterior, with well-preserved paint in the original color. Saab original Ronal wheels in fine, undamaged condition, fitted with older tires.

The Saab 96 Jubilee model was sold exclusively as a 1980 model year, even though production ended in January of that same year. According to Saab, 300 examples were built, although unofficial sources suggest there may have been more.
What set the model apart was the Aquamarine Blue metallic paint, blue plush upholstery, and alloy wheels from German manufacturer Ronal. All Saab 96 cars from model years 1979 and 1980 were assembled at Valmet’s factory in Uusikaupunki, Finland, and can most easily be identified by the black panel between the rear lights and the black window trim.

Major updates included the introduction of a plastic grille in 1974, followed by large U.S.-style bumpers in 1975. Mandatory emissions controls were introduced in 1976. Larger front indicators and redesigned rear lights appeared in 1978. Toward the end of production, the 96 was also fitted with seats from the Saab 99/900, featuring integrated headrests.

General information about the condition of the vehicles .
- At this auction, many vehicles have been included in car collections and have been stored (mothballed) for a long time. For this reason, they are described from a collector's perspective and may need technical reviews and maintenance service - oil, battery replacement, new tires, brake review, etc. - before they can be used. .
- During the auction days information about a vehicle may be updated up to the day before the auction ends. When you bid at the end of the auction period - and also if you have made an earlier bid - we therefore ask you to read the descriptions carefully, in case something has been changed due to new information.
Important to know before placing your bids!
- Once you have called in an item and the reservation price is reached we want you to deposit the entire purchase amount into our client funds account before retrieval can take place.
- When you need to retrieve a called in object we want you to examine it carefully. If you consider that the item does not match our description you do not need to complete the purchase. In this case the deposited purchase sum and the entry fee are refunded.
- If you do not examine the item on the spot the call charge will be debited, but you do not have to complete the deal.
- If you make the entire purchase exclusively at a distance you have 14 days to cancel, but must return the item at your own expense.
- Your shipping costs and other costs are not reimbursed when the right of withdrawal is exercised. Swedish court applies.
