The car was sold new in Sweden in 1970 and has since had seven registered owners. The current owner has had it for 20 years. During that time, he has continuously improved and invested in the car—without any intention of ever selling it. It has been used during the summers for both car meets and caravan holidays.
According to the data plate, the original color was green, and it was also delivered with a green vinyl roof and white interior. The owner chose to make some aesthetic changes to the color scheme during the restoration.
The odometer shows approximately 140,000 km, although this cannot be guaranteed. The most recent inspection was carried out in 2022, and under classic vehicle regulations, the car is now exempt from periodic inspections.
According to Car.info, only a handful of 1970 Buick Skylark Custom Sport Coupes are currently registered in Sweden. The car comes with the owner’s manual and other literature, as well as a spare wheel located in the trunk. During repainting, the model badges were removed and are included separately. Buick 350 V8 engine (5.7 liters) equipped with a four-barrel carburetor, paired with a TH350 automatic transmission. The engine output is rated at 285 hp. Equipped with a limited-slip differential.

Zustand Interieur
Most of the interior was refurbished ????? 10 years ago. New door panels, new seat upholstery, refurbished dashboard padding, etc. The carpet is older and shows signs of wear. The headliner is original and in good condition. Gauges and electrical functions are without remark.
Modern front seat belts have been installed, while the rear retains the original fixed belts. The trunk floor looks a bit worn—see the owner’s comment. The engine bay is very clean, and a painted aluminum panel has been fitted to the firewall for a cleaner appearance. -
Zustand Exterieur
Fully repainted in 2023, with all removable body panels painted separately. A new vinyl roof was installed in 2008. New windshield fitted in 2022. Equipped with period-style 15-inch aftermarket wheels.
The bumpers are in good driver condition, with some minor pitting in the chrome. The grille has been painted in satin black. The frame and underside of the body have been carefully treated with underbody sealant (Tectyl), and all cavities have been rust-proofed. -
Zustand gesamt
Very good driver condition. Fully road-ready and also equipped with a tow hitch for convenient trailer use.

Jag har ägt bilen i 20 år. Jag har kostat på bilen löpande under mitt ägande. Motorn är helrenoverad inklusive ny startmotor och generator. Hela framvagnen är renoverad, inklusive bromsar med huvudcylinder och det medföljer renoveringssats för bakbromsarna. Dragkroken är avtagbar med tre skruvar, godkänd för 1500 kg. Jag har dragit husvagnen med bilen vid semestertid, inget sackande i backarna. Kort sagt, jag kostat på bilen för att få den i både tillförlitligt och representativt skick. Plåtgolvet i bagageutrymmet ser skrovligt ut, det är många lager färg och inte någon rost. Med facit i hand skulle jag ha slipat golvet plåtrent och lackerat det samtidigt med resten av karossen. Att bilen skulle säljas har aldrig varit med i kalkylen, men man blir äldre och får prioritera andra saker.
