The Citroën was newly sold at Forsgrens Bilfynd in Abborrträsk outside Arvidsjaur in Norrbotten. It has been driven in Norr- and Västerbotten as well as Jämtland until the current owner bought it in 2021. The salt-free roads are likely one of the reasons why the car has been very well-preserved from rust. The car has also been well taken care of and received a Tuff Kote Dinol treatment in the autumn of 2021. Previously in its life, the car was repainted, and the bonnet and boot lid were repainted again by a professional painter in the autumn of 2022. The bumper was repainted in 2021. The current owner has restored the original wheels to perfection, painted them in the original color according to the code, and machined the metal surfaces at WheelDoctor in Umeå in the spring of 2023. The car received new TOYO Proxes summer tires in 2021. The gas spheres were replaced in 2021, and a set of spare spheres accompanies the car. The LHM oil has also been changed after cleaning the filter and tank. New black aftermarket textile mats were installed in the cabin. A new original textile mat was placed in the luggage compartment. The front wall of the luggage compartment is also newly painted. A Blaupunkt Skagen stereo with a vintage appearance suitable for the car's year model is installed. Many other parts have been replaced, such as all bulbs in the instrument cluster, engine mount, ignition coils, ignition cables, fuel regulator, fuel filter, and water temperature sensor, among others. The headliner has also been replaced on this car, and the car received new headlamp inserts at the front by a previous owner. The battery needs maintenance charging. Two original keys accompany the car, one with remote control for the central locking (which works well). The car is equipped with a towbar approved for a trailer weight of 1800 kg. It is also inspected until October 2024. The Citroën has been used as a hobby car at various car meets and for some everyday driving in the summers.

The engine and drivetrain work well, but the engine may jerk slightly at even revs, which is common in these cars. All auxiliary equipment functions as it should according to the owner. All gas spheres were replaced in 2021, and a set of spare spheres accompanies the car. The LHM oil has been changed after cleaning the filter and tank. The level control operates as it should.

The plush interior is in very good condition, featuring the comfort seats found in even more exclusive variants of the CX. A new original textile carpet has been installed in the luggage compartment, and the front wall of the luggage compartment has been repainted. The headliner has been replaced and is in good condition.

There are marks from an angle grinder on the right rear door window that unfortunately cannot be polished away. However, the paint and body are in very good condition. Most CX variants featured DIRAVI steering, which was developed from the predecessor Citroën SM, meaning there was no mechanical connection between the steering wheel and the wheels.
