The car comes with a fully stamped service history, with the majority of the mileage accumulated up to 2013, when it had reached 161,468 km. Since then, it has been enthusiast-owned and sparingly driven, with the current mileage now at 175,106 km.
The current owner acquired the car in 2018. It was initially registered under his company and later privately owned, and has only been used lightly as a summer car during his ownership.
In 2001, Audi introduced its remarkable 6.0-litre W12 — a compact engineering masterpiece created by effectively pairing two VR6 engines on a single crankshaft. Producing 420 hp, it powered the flagship A8 and was offered exclusively to European and Asian markets.
Production was extremely limited, with approximately 650–750 examples built between 2001 and 2003. The main reason for this low volume was its exceptionally high original price of 212,000 DM, placing it firmly at the very top of the luxury segment.
What makes this particular car even more desirable is its short wheelbase (SWB) configuration. Most W12 A8s were specified as long wheelbase (LWB) models, making SWB cars significantly rarer and more driver-focused.

Zustand technisch
The car starts instantly, with a smooth and stable-running engine. It drives very well, offering tight road handling, solid brakes, and smooth gear shifts. There are no warning lights or faults noted during test driving.
The owner has mentioned that at low speeds the engine can occasionally feel like it is missing slightly, with no warning lights present. This suggests a possible injector-related issue, and it would be advisable to have all injectors tested and serviced. Notably, the car performs flawlessly at higher speeds.
The car was last serviced in summer 2025, including spark plugs, engine oil, and brake fluid. It is inspected and approved until 2026-05-31.
It sits on nice alloy wheels fitted with newer tyres. -
Zustand Interieur
The interior is tidy and well kept, finished in grey leather with only light signs of normal use and no damage. The seats present nicely, complemented by clean door cards, carpets, dashboard, and headliner. All electrics function as they should, including electric seats, steering adjustment, windows, sunroof, mirrors, and rear blind. There are no warning lights, and all displays are clear with no pixelation. The air conditioning blows cold, and the solar panel roof is fully functional, helping to keep the cabin cool when parked. The infotainment system is fully operational, including radio, navigation, and integrated mobile phone.

Zustand Exterieur
The bodywork is straight, with no signs of dents or accident damage. The underbody is clean and solid, with no rust issues — largely thanks to Audi’s aluminium Space Frame construction. Paintwork presents well with a deep, glossy finish. There is a small scratch on the left rear wing, some light scuffing on the lower left bumper valance, and age-related cracking in the left rear light lens. The driver’s side mirror glass also shows slight damage.

- During the auction days information about a vehicle may be updated up to the day before the auction ends. When you bid at the end of the auction period - and also if you have made an earlier bid - we therefore ask you to read the descriptions carefully, in case something has been changed due to new information.
Important to know before placing your bids!
- Once you have called in an item and the reservation price is reached we want you to deposit the entire purchase amount into our client funds account before retrieval can take place.
- When you need to retrieve a called in object we want you to examine it carefully. If you consider that the item does not match our description you do not need to complete the purchase. In this case the deposited purchase sum and the entry fee are refunded.
- If you do not examine the item on the spot the call charge will be debited, but you do not have to complete the deal.
- If you make the entire purchase exclusively at a distance you have 14 days to cancel, but must return the item at your own expense.
- Your shipping costs and other costs are not reimbursed when the right of withdrawal is exercised. Swedish court applies.
- For items that have not been collected within 14 days storage costs may be charged.
