-
Zustand technisch
The car has been completely overhauled and is in very good technical condition, with many new parts. It hasn't been driven much since the renovation, so a check-up is always a good idea.
-
Zustand Interieur
The original interior is in great condition, with the seats and rear bench having new "springs and coils," but they have not been reupholstered. According to the seller, the upholstery is intact but thin and worn, which is why a cover is now in place. New door panels have been installed
-
Zustand Exterieur
The bodywork was renovated and given a new paint job a few years ago and is in great condition. New front and rear bumpers have been installed. Otherwise, the glass and shiny surfaces are in excellent condition. The painted rims have good tires.
-
Zustand gesamt
A charming car with a delightful 60s feel, with its appearance and attributes guaranteed to excite francophiles. Moreover, it is in a nicely restored and roadworthy condition.

Fakten zum Modell
The first cars arrived in Sweden in late 1961, but there was no immediate boost in sales. Over a year later, the ad campaign by the Arbmans advertising agency, with Leon Nordin and Alf Mork as creators, for Renault 4 and the "Skrytbilen" (Swedish for "boast car"), became both advertising and automotive history, and sales took off. In the mid-1960s, Volvo, Saab, VW, and Opel dominated car sales in Sweden, but Renault also did reasonably well in the lower division. In 1967, they ranked sixth, close behind Ford Germany. The "Skrytbilen" accounted for almost half of the Renault cars sold. The practical, easy-to-maintain, and affordable car became an anti-status symbol that struck a chord with the prevailing zeitgeist. In Sweden, it was even called "Laban," after the designation L = Limousine, i.e., a third side window at the back. This was primarily the version imported to Sweden.
For the 1967 model year, the R4 received a new interior, thicker front seats, a new dashboard, and a steering wheel. However, it retained the "old grille," which was changed the following year. Perhaps it's this mix that makes the 1967 model year a favorite of many.
