Volvo's model was dubbed Krabat, and Bolinder-sister Munktell's Terrier was given a green makeover. They are, in fact, similar tractors. They were well-liked because they came standard with a differential lock, which prevented the drive wheels from slipping independently. Furthermore, their hydraulic power take-off and lift, long wheelbase, and low center of gravity made them so popular that 1,200 copies were sold in the first two years.
This tractor is a first-year model in excellent, untouched original condition. It has always been indoors and has been part of the collections around the VW Museum in Pålsboda. The first owner, also from Pålsboda, owned it from 1957 to 2000, when it was donated to the museum. Opportunity for those looking for a piece of Volvo history as well as a fully functional and easy-to-maintain tractor with a regular petrol engine and easy access to spare parts.

Fakten zum Modell
Dieseln blev populärt drivmedel på 1950-talet men intresset för förgasartraktorerna var fortfarande stort. Krabaten är en svensk kopia på engelska Fergusson Grålle, kan man säga, men utvecklad och med flera fina finesser. Ursprungligen skulle Krabat bara säljas som en Volvo men det dröjde inte länge förrän den även kom in i BM:s produktprogram – här omdöpt till Terrier, från 1958 dessutom Volvoröd. Krabaten och Terriern var modernt konstruerade och både billiga i inköp och drift. Billigare än en häst som det stod i reklamen. Krabat och Terrier blev den i särklass mest sålda bensintraktorn i landet. Från början hade Krabat den beprövade PV-motorn B4B som sedan ersattes av B16 med 32 hk. Det stora utvecklingssteget kom 1961 då den fick femväxlad låda istället för den gamla fyrväxlade. Samtidigt fick den också BM:s nya Terra Trol-lyft med djupreglering.

General information about the condition of the vehicles .
- At this auction, many vehicles have been included in car collections and have been stored (mothballed) for a long time. For this reason, they are described from a collector's perspective and may need technical reviews and maintenance service - oil, battery replacement, new tires, brake review, etc. - before they can be used. .
- During the auction days information about a vehicle may be updated up to the day before the auction ends. When you bid at the end of the auction period - and also if you have made an earlier bid - we therefore ask you to read the descriptions carefully, in case something has been changed due to new information.
Important to know before placing your bids!
- Once you have called in an item and the reservation price is reached we want you to deposit the entire purchase amount into our client funds account before retrieval can take place.
- When you need to retrieve a called in object we want you to examine it carefully. If you consider that the item does not match our description you do not need to complete the purchase. In this case the deposited purchase sum and the entry fee are refunded.
- If you do not examine the item on the spot the call charge will be debited, but you do not have to complete the deal.
- If you make the entire purchase exclusively at a distance you have 14 days to cancel, but must return the item at your own expense.
- Your shipping costs and other costs are not reimbursed when the right of withdrawal is exercised. Swedish court applies.
- For items that have not been collected within 14 days storage costs may be charged.
