"An unlikely well-preserved Saab both inside and outside. The car runs smoothly and I see no need for any further action as long as it continues to be carefully cared for."

Description

The car was initially used sparingly by its first owner and was then taken out of use. During the period of non-use, it was removed from the vehicle registry. In 2008, the car was purchased by a close friend of the current owner, who re-registered it and performed a startup service. The car was in this fantastic condition and only required detailing. The engine was inspected and renovated by a reputable Saab mechanic, and it has only been driven around 100 miles since then.

The current owner acquired the car in 2017 and has used it sparingly during the summer months. They feel that the car is not being used enough and would like an enthusiast to take over its care.

Facts about the model

The car is an original vehicle with a nice patina, where the owner has chosen to restore the mechanics but has been careful with the exterior. Inside, it features the classic Saab Sport steering wheel in wood, as well as all the other attributes such as the luxury interior with headrests for the passenger only, the clock with a second hand, the tachometer, and the Spartan rear seat unique to the Saab Sport and its successor, the Monte Carlo.

Since this is a Monte Carlo with the correct three-cylinder two-stroke engine at 841 cc, it has a separate oil lubrication system. Just as it should, it also has a four-speed gearbox, a unique electrical system, and the four-bolt wheels for quick wheel changes during rally competitions.
