"Well preserved and a rare example of a NSU/Fiat partnership, never suffered with rust problems only been repainted."

Description

This car was bought new by sea captain Frans Bode, who was in need of a light and flexible car.
He had this car with him on his ship and when it arrived at the port he could easily lift the car and drive it wherever he was. Captain Bode got a service on another boat in the early 70's and the car became redundant and sold. The new owner put the car away and it never got to register. The car got a new owner again who repainted it in original color when the paint had faded and had some flaws, even the engine was then renovated. In 1992, the car was sold to the current owner who completed the renovation with, among other things, new brake cylinders and master cylinder. The car runs great but needs an origin check and inspection, all old documents are available. Spare parts for this car are easy to get as it is the same as the Fiat 500.
There were 6,000 cars manufactured between 1959 and 1966, of which 1500 were the coupe model.
There are very few preserved today, perhaps no more than 50, most of which are renovation objects.

Facts about the model

NSU-Fiat, also known by the name Neckar, was a German licensed manufacturer of Fiat's passenger car models.

NSU-Fiat was created in 1929 when Fiat took over all car manufacturing from NSU that ended up in an economic crisis. Fiat continued for a short time with the manufacture of NSU's models in the factory taken over from NSU in Heilbronn, to later switch to license production of Fiat's own models, the best known of which were Fiat Topolino and Fiat Balilla. When NSU started manufacturing passenger cars again, the company changed its name to a necklace in 1957. Until 1971, production continued with license-built versions of models such as Neckar Weinsberg (Fiat 500) and Neckar Jagst (Fiat 600). Production was discontinued due to excessive production costs. Fiat still has its German general agency in Heilbronn.
