"An early Corvette C3 in good, road-ready condition."

Description

This is a 1968 Corvette C3. The model was renamed in 1969 to Corvette C3 Stingray. The current owner purchased the car in 2016. Since then, it has only been driven about 100 kilometers. The owner feels they have too many cars and too little time to use this one.

Immediately after purchase, the Corvette was sent for repainting as the existing finish was not satisfactory. The bumpers and trim were also replaced during this refurbishment. The interior has been partially replaced before, and since then, the Corvette has been sparingly used.

It's a fine car and no repairs have been needed since the 2016 purchase. The engine is a 327 with a 350 transmission. It has been kept in a heated garage since 2016. The car has been inspected and is certified indefinitely without any remarks.

  • Mechanical condition:

The car was not test-driven at the time of the photo shoot as the road conditions were very muddy and the road was in poor condition. The engine starts easily and sounds as it should.

  • Interior condition:

Parts of the interior were replaced by a previous owner and are in good condition with some wear, as shown in the pictures.

  • Exterior condition:

Repainted in 2016, the paint is in good condition. The chrome trim on the driver's door is loose, and the sealing strip is cracked. There is also a small damage on the front edge of the driver's door, as shown in the picture.

  • General condition:

A great representative of an attractive 1960s Corvette. A delightful car for this season's excursions, here in a ready-to-drive condition.

Facts about the model

The Corvette C3 was introduced in 1968 and was built on the same chassis as its predecessor. Chief designer Bill Mitchell drew inspiration from the aquatic world and named the 1969 model the Stingray. This generation of Chevrolet's sporty Corvette became a true bestseller. In 1973, the new soft plastic bumper was introduced, and 1974 marked the last year for the Big Block engine. In 1975, the catalytic converter was introduced, and the rear bumper also began to be molded in one piece. The convertible version was discontinued in 1975. The Corvette C3 continued to be manufactured until 1982.
